The editorial process is run as a partnership between a group of academic experts who serve as Associate Editors and the Section Editors, or in the case of Front Matter, as Opinions, Pearls, and Reviews Editors, and the Editors-in-Chief. Editorial review at PLOS Pathogens is run by an international Editorial Board comprised of working researchers under the leadership of the Editors-in-Chief . The Editorial Board includes Section Editors with high-level oversight of the peer review process, and Associate Editors who directly manage the peer review process. Editorial Oversight PLOS Pathogens is run by an international Editorial Board, headed by Editors-in-Chief Kasturi Haldar (University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, USA) and Grant McFadden (Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA).
